Vanessa Reynolds with “Nakuru High Street” the 2018 People’s Choice

 

The 2018 Spring Exhibition by Brighton & Hove Arts Council ended today, 21st April, with our Trustee, Mr John Hird, announcing the winner of “The People’s Choice” for the public’s favourite exhibit.  This year, the cup was awarded to Vanessa Reynolds of Adur Art Collective for her painting entitled “Nakuru High Street“.

 

 

The “runner up” was Michèle Kawik of the St Thomas More Art Group with her painting of “Rosebay Willowherb over Lock Carron

Despite record-breaking temperatures on the coast today, we were delighted to welcome so many visitors to the last day of our annual exhibition and would like to thank the public for their interest, support and the votes for their favourite exhibit over the past four days, to our sponsors this year (without whom we could not run this annual event) – Cass Art, Brighton and Hove Radio Cabs, Donatello, Leaders, and Engleharts Solicitors, and also to John Hird and Jacqui Rance for organising the event over the last four days.
