BRIGHTON FESTIVAL OF WORLD SACRED MUSIC
| This annual festival aims to promote understanding between people of all faiths and none. Local, national and international musicians from a wide range of sacred traditions - including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and more - perform concerts, workshops and community events in sacred spaces around the city. The festival also takes performances into schools, hospitals and prisons. |
BRIGHTON LITTLE THEATRE
| Brighton Little Theatre presents 10 productions a year, anything from Shakespeare to Sondheim, in our 75-seat studio theatre in central Brighton. We also have a vibrant youth theatre, which mounts one large scale production each year. We visit Lewes Castle annually, and always welcome new members. |
BRIGHTON MUSICAL FRATERNITY
| After being founded in 1884 as a Glee Club for men, ladies were admitted to full membership after the second world war. | The Society was founded in 1989 and meets monthly at Hove Town Hall on Wednesday evenings. Each year nine illustrated lectures cover a broad variety of decorative and fine arts related topics. HOVE-DRAVEIL TWINNING ASSOCIATION
| The Association was formed in 1992 in order to develop links with the town of Draveil which is south-east of Paris, and particularly encourages visits by school children in Hove with the assistance of the Howard Longden Travel Fund. There have been two exhibitions on French themes at Hove Museum & Art Gallery and two concerts by participating schools. |

POETRY FOR PLEASURE
| Poetry is presented by a small company of experienced readers at St John's Cornerstone Community Centre, Hove every Monday at 12.00 noon. Our aim is to entertain, and we also seek to set poetry in the period in which it was written. Admission is £1.00. |
PRO MUSICA CHAMBER CHOIR
| The Choir was formed in 1998, following amalgamation of the East Sussex Chorus and the East Sussex Community Choir, and performs a varied international repertoire from the sixteenth to twentieth centuries. Pro Musica rehearse on Monday evenings in Rottingdean. There is a modest membership fee and a simple entrance voice hearing. |
REACT THEATRE PRODUCTIONS
| React Theatre Productions was formed in 2004 by Alan Skinner. We are a Brighton based company producing mostly musical productions up to now - these have included a number of concerts and the musical Les Miserables which was awarded the NODA Accolade of Excellence for 2006/07. |

ROTTINGDEAN PRESERVATION SOCIETY
| The Society operates The Grange Art Gallery and Museum in Rottingdean. The building was originally the Vicarage and subsequently the home of the artist, Sir William Nicholson, who renamed it The Grange. The Preservation Society is restoring The Grange which is managed by local enthusiasts. |

| The Society of Catholic Artists Regional Group started in 1976, though the Society was founded in 1929. Our members meet monthly on the first Sunday for discussions, events and support. We exhibit locally, and participate in national and international exhibitions and conferences. |

| Soundwaves Festival, founded in 2006 by Patrick Harrex and Claudia Molitor, is devoted to the performance and creation of contemporary music, mainly written or conceived post 2000. SOUTH DOWNS ART SOCIETY
| The Society meets most Saturday afternoons in St Helen's Church Hall, Hangleton. There is no formal tuition, but help and advice is readily available from the more experienced artists. There are working sessions, demonstrations and sketching outdoors in summer. Exhibitions are held from time to time. |
