The Forum supports musicians, composers and artists in the Adur area. Its main activity is the Adur Arts Live Festival now in its 14th year. The Festival promotes a series of high quality concerts with a bias to classical, contemporary and music inspired by other cultures, with the inclusion of works by composers who live in this area.
ALL SAINTS HOVE LUNCHTIME RECITALS
The lunchtime recitals at All Saints Church, Hove, started in 1991, and offer fine music in the spectacular setting of one of England's greatest Victorian churches. Featuring many artistes of international renown, the concerts draw large audiences weekly from May to September. All concerts are free, with a retiring collection.
BRIGHTON & HOVE PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY
The Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the leading professional orchestras on the south coast. The Festival started in October 2002 with a pilot scheme of concerts. The Festival has been extended to include workshops in local schools, and concerts and other events for the general public. Entry to the Chorus is by simple audition.
BRIGHTON FESTIVAL OF WORLD SACRED MUSIC
This annual festival aims to promote understanding between people of all faiths and none. Local, national and international musicians from a wide range of sacred traditions - including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and more - perform concerts, workshops and community events in sacred spaces around the city. The festival also takes performances into schools, hospitals and prisons.
BRIGHTON MUSICAL FRATERNITY
After being founded in 1884 as a Glee Club for men, ladies were admitted to full membership after the second world war. Monthly concerts are held at All Saints Church Hall, Eaton Road, Hove from September to May. We present a wide variety of music by well known performers, and also provide an opportunity for young performers to play to an audience. New members and guests are very welcome.
COASTLINE HARMONY CHORUS
We are a local women's chorus who sing and enjoy four part unaccompanied harmony. Founded in 1973, we belong to a world-wide organisation, Sweet Adelines International. We love to perform for local societies, charities, and nursing homes. We rehearse every Thursday at Portslade Community College from 7.15 pm to 9.45 pm.
