POETRY FOR PLEASURE
| Poetry is presented by a small company of experienced readers at St John's Cornerstone Community Centre, Hove every Monday at 12.00 noon. Our aim is to entertain, and we also seek to set poetry in the period in which it was written. Admission is £1.00. |
SUSSEX OPERA AND BALLET SOCIETY
| The Society was founded in 1974 to "educate the public in the arts and sciences, in particular those of music, by presentation of opera ballet and drama". There are bi-monthly events, with professional artists, providing entertaining yet informative occasions, with an equal balance of ballet and opera. |
SUSSEX PLAYWRIGHTS' CLUB mail@sussexplaywrights.com | The Club exists to encourage the writing of plays, especially by local people. These plays are given a staged reading, and then constructively criticised. We meet monthly on Sunday evenings at the New Venture Theatre, Bedford Place, Brighton. |
