Supporting Not-For-Profit Arts in Brighton, Hove & Beyond

Brighton & Hove Arts Council was founded in 1974 by a group of enthusiasts to support and promote the not-for-profit arts sector in Brighton, Hove and beyond.  We are a registered charity that continues to be run entirely by unpaid volunteers.

Our new Arts Diary covering December, January and February is now available from a range of venues across the City and surrounding areas.  You can also find out what’s on via our online calendar, which offers detailed information on all group members’ events including dates, times, ticket prices and booking information. Locations are also shown with Google Maps. Our members’ events this season cover concerts, pantomimes, plays, readings, discussion groups, fine art, and much else!  The groups not only offer the wider arts for the public to enjoy but you can join them and get involved yourself.  See our Group Members list for their contact details.

Eight groups entered this year for our annual Drama Awards and the results were announced at the Awards Night on 4th December.  You can see who was short-listed and who were the final winners here.  But how did the Adjudicator view the entries?  How did she approach the task of deciding the winners?  How did she rate our local groups overall?  You can find out here on our Blog.
