The Arts Diary contains the only free event listings for not-for-profit Arts Organisations in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas. It contains listings of events for the coming quarter from our member groups, including performing and visual arts, music, talks and other events. The diary is organised by type of event and date, often with relevant photos.
The magazine is produced at the end of each quarter in February, May, August and November with a print run of 7000 hard copies per issue. These are distributed to libraries, information points, community centres and theatres, pubs, and coffee shops throughout Brighton, Hove, Shoreham, Lewes, Rottingdean, and other local towns and villages.

Listings
BHAC Member Groups are entitled to submit events for listing in the print Arts Diary and in our online Arts Diary.

Advertisements
Anyone can advertise in the print Arts Diary on any relevant subject*.
We publish advertisements from both members and non-members. Members can take advantage of reduced rates.
The current prices are as follows:
A full page is A5 portrait. Download samples.
- Full page – non-members £250, members £150
- Half page – non-members £125, members £75
- Quarter page – non-members £62.50, members £37.50
Regular advertisers** get a further 20% discount on these prices.
* We reserve the right to reject advertisements that we feel are unsuitable for inclusion in the BHAC Arts Diary.
**“Regular advertiser” refers to those who have taken out an advert in at least three of the last four issues.
Deadlines for advertisements
Please contact us well before the deadlines below if you are thinking of taking out an advertisement in that issue or would like to discuss an advertising opportunity. Bookings must be made before the deadline, stating the size of advert required. The copy can come a bit later and further details will be sent to you.
- For events in March to May – advert bookings by 31st January
- For events in June to August – advert bookings by 30th April
- For events in September to November – advert bookings by 31st July
- For events in December to February – advert bookings by 31st October
