Brighton & Hove Arts Council (23rd August 2017)
Brighton and Hove Arts Council (BHAC) is a band of keen volunteers whose aim is to support and promote our local not- for- profit Arts community.
We have 65+ (and growing) group members, representing a wide range of art forms and a similar number of individual members.
A small Executive Committee does most of the work, for example producing the quarterly Arts Diary and maintaining our lively web site.
It’s a great team to be part of. We have never been so active and we continue to grow, but we now need to recruit new people to take on two particularly important jobs:-
To take the lead on our Visual Arts programme,
including the annual Spring Art Exhibition, and a rolling
programme of exhibitions at a central Brighton
cafe/gallery.
To be the main point of contact with and between our
members. We have a lot to offer and have the potential
not only to work more effectively with our current
members but to significantly attract even more.
We would also warmly welcome new committee members who might have a more general interest in the local Arts scene and who want to “rollup their sleeves” and make a useful contribution of some kind.
I am sure you would find working with us very enjoyable – we are a pretty sociable bunch!
If any of this appeals to you we would love to hear from you, and I would be delighted to give you more information.
