After six highly successful and much enjoyed Shakespeare Festivals, Shoreham Wordfest is delighted to announce its seventh annual Shakespeare Celebrations. This year we have a vibrant performance at the Shoreham Centre of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ from Bowler Crab Theatre Company – in the words of one critic, ‘What a joy … an amazing cast and a wonderful adaptation of a much loved play…’; we have a free concert of songs, music and drama from Shakespeare and his times in the ancient and beautiful St. Mary de Haura Church (Sat 10.30-12.30); an Elizabethan song workshop for allcomers, with dances for those so inclined (Shoreham Centre, Sat 2.45-4.45); a Ceilidh with a rustic supper, free tot of mead and dancing to the great sounds of Kate’s Kitchen Band, to celebrate the Bard’s birthday, also at the Shoreham Centre.
