31: ‘A Scattering of Jazz Jewels!’ with FoxiVox: Lou Beckerman, Sarah Carpenter & Carol Sloman. Song, story, musical mischief and jazz with a twist! Loved standards plus eclectic, edgy original material arranged for piano, close harmony vocals, guitar, violin and spoons! ‘Creative, classy and charismatic’.
7th ‘Favourites and Discoveries’. Soprano Mehreen Shah performs a variety of songs and arias, accompanied on piano by Joe Ward.
14th Pianist Matthew McCombie presents a programme to include Liszt’s second Hungarian Rhapsody and works by Chopin and Albéniz.
21st The Kelleth Piano Trio – violinist Rachel Ellis, cellist Siriol Hugh-Jones and pianist Stephen Carroll-Turner – play the piano trio in E flat major D929 by Schubert.
28th Nick Andrews is joined by his great friend and local boy made good, Dan James for a recital of cello and piano music, featuring Schubert’s glorious “Arpeggione sonata”.
5th Violinist Fumi Otsuki and Pianist Sarah Kershaw. “Fjords and Fiddles” play Edvard Grieg; Gabriel Faure; James MacMillan; Ralph Vaughan Williams and Frank Bridge.
12th ‘On wings of song’. Soprano Alice Bishop with a programme exploring the theme of ‘Birds, Bees and Butterflies’ including songs by Brahms, Grieg, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Faure and Debussy.
19th Piano recital by Ingrid Cusido with works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Granados.
26th The John Lake Trio plays Camilo. A concert of compositions by the legendary Michel Camilo. Matt Casterton on bass, Simon Cambers on drums and John Lake on piano.
Doors and coffee from 12 noon
