John Pickard concert
Fri 18th September @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
MUSIC & WINE AT ST LUKE’S
Guitar and Harp Guitar
This Friday 18th September you have a chance to hear perhaps the rarest of all plucked string instruments – a 23 string ‘Harp-Guitar’ – a guitar-like instrument with an amazing sound (originating in Europe over 3 centuries ago) with integrated banks of both fretted and un-fretted strings. Music to include arrangements of Bach, Debussy, Knopfler (Dire Straits), and original music written for Harp-Guitar by the performer himself and American Emmy nominated artist John Doan.
