“Madame Curie” (online only)

Wed 14th April @ 7:30 pm

BRIGHTON & HOVE FRENCH CIRCLE

“Madame Curie”

with Cédric Cabanne

.

Arriving at the end of the 19th century in Paris from her native Poland, Maria Sklodowska will become Marie Curie, one of the greatest female figures in the history of science.  In 1995, when her body was transferred to the Panthéon in Paris, it retained traces of radioactivity; for the safety of visitors, her coffin was covered in a layer of insulating lead.

All talks are illustrated so even if your French is limited do join us and surprise yourself at how much you understand.

The Zoom talks (in French)  are free to French Circle members.  Events start at 7.30 pm, with log-in between 7.15 and (ideally) 7.25 pm.  We welcome non-member guests for a small contribution of £5.00.  More details from Suzanne Hinton  s@hinton.clara.net
