6 Richard Bowen (guitar) plays music by J.S Bach, Albeniz, John Duarte, Peter Maxwell Davies and Turina


13 Yoon Seok Shin (piano) – The Summer Spirit with Classical Romantic Piano Music.

20 Hammig String Quartet play the Schumann Piano Quintet op 44, with Clare Wibberley, piano (written in 1842, in which year he also wrote his three string quartets op 41, the piano quartet op 47, and the Phantasiestücke op 88 for piano).

27 Kenny Fu (piano)

August 2022

3 Johan de Cock (piano) – Brighton-based pianist Jay de Cock presents an afternoon concert of music, old and new, including a piece from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book, late Liszt miniatures, and minimal works by Arvo Pärt, Gavin Bryars and Philip Glass.

10 Classical Bohemians (violin, guitar, flute and voice) – creative, interpretive music with classical and philosophical influences.

17 John Lake Quartet – the quartet will play a selection of original modern melodic jazz written by John Lake and performed with Elizabeth Bustard, Matt Casterton and Simon Cambers.

24 Gin Jazz Trio – The Gin Jazz Trio will be playing some original and some well-known tunes in an easy-listening style.

31 John Bruzon (piano) – much-loved pianist John Bruzon plays a romantic programme of mainly Chopin: Nocturnes; Mazurkas; Polonaises and Waltzes.


Wednesdays 2.00–2.45pm (doors open at 1.30pm)

Suggested donation £3.00 on the door or whatever you can afford.

Tea, coffee and home-made cakes available.
