New Sussex Opera’s aims are:
- to stage brilliant performances of hidden gems
- to bring the delight and excitement of opera to new audiences
- to create opportunities for performers and back-stage specialists to hone their talents and advance their careers
- to nurture new creative talent of any age.
Our in-house chorus-led productions each Spring tour Sussex, while our main autumn/ winter production tours further afield, including a London performance at Cadogan Hall, the Bloomsbury Theatre or the Britten Theatre.
We also arrange workshops for schools and other organisations to give young and not-so-young people their first real taste of opera; depending on the opera itself, taking part in a workshop can lead to performing on stage in an actual production.
