The next Lewes Festival of Song will take place on Sunday, June 29th. There is an exciting programme of three concerts in one day! Find more information and tickets here.
Lewes Opera Society Musical Theatre

LOS Musical Theatre has been bringing high quality musical theatre to Lewes since 1911. Staging their productions involves a lot of hard work for a cast and crew of about 80. In fact, LOS is made up of about 200 members of all ages and from all walks of life. They stage two productions each year, usually at Lewes Town Hall.
The next LOS production will be Sister Act, 30th September – 4th October 2025. More information and tickets.

The Club presents six to eight main stage productions every year, between October and July, and additional foyer events give a broad range of theatrical experiences.

Musicians of All Saints
The Musicians of All Saints is a professional chamber orchestra based in Lewes dedicated to the presentation of neglected works and new commissions together with a repertoire of better-known works.
Their next concert will be on Saturday 5th July, St Michael’s Church Lewes High Street, at 7:30 and will feature pieces by Mozart, Robin Milford, Elizabeth Maconchy, and Holst. More information and tickets.
New Sussex Opera

Every year, NSO aims to stage at one or two new productions – with our chorus at the heart of every one of them. For their in-house productions, announced as “New Sussex Opera Chorus presents” they choose works that can be successfully performed on a relatively modest budget, but which create great opportunities not just for the whole chorus to show its singing and acting talents, but also for individual chorus members to take maybe their first steps as soloists in cameo, step-out roles.
New Sussex Singers
New Sussex Singers is a small, well-established group of around 35 singers. Though the choir is a selected group, the singers have a variety of experience, some are professionally trained singers, others quite new to the choral world. However, we all share a passion for excellence and high-quality music making. The main focus of the group is choral music in its many guises but there are opportunities for step-out solos with the group as well. We work with our director Seb Charlesworth to develop a unified sound that allows us to perform in many styles and genres. Our wide and eclectic repertoire includes folk, part songs and madrigals, secular and religious music, opera, operetta, oratorio and jazz a cappella. Over the past few years concerts have included composers ranging from Baroque composers Bach and Vivaldi right through to the leading contemporary composers of today such as Cecilia McDowall, Sally Beamish, Paul Carr and Jonathan Dove.
Their latest concert is on Saturday June 28th at the Trinity Church St John sub castro, featuring the music of John Rutter and George Shearing. More information and tickets.
Nicholas Yonge Society

The Nicholas Yonge Society aims to present five chamber music concerts annually of a high quality involving both internationally known artists and young musicians. The society favours trios, quartets and small ensembles with an occasional piano soloist or singer.
Sussex Guild
The Guild was founded in 1970 and is a registered Charity (292234). It aims to raise standards in the field of applied art and increase public awareness of fine craftsmanship and promote members’ work.
Craftspeople who live and work in Sussex and surrounding counties, whose work has been approved by a selection panel, are offered membership.
Next event: Michelham Priory & Gardens Contemporary Craft Show Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July 2025. More information.
