Sussex Voiceworks (23rd August 2020)
Sussex Voiceworks, normally based in Shoreham-by-Sea, has been continuing its activities through lockdown. We have met online weekly, using Zoom-based rehearsals backed up with online resources and videos posted by our music director, Sarah Forbes. A number of members have submitted videos to a virtual performance of a new piece by another choir, and we are compiling an ensemble made up of members’ recordings of an arrangement of Danny Boy.
We plan to restart our Zoom rehearsals on Monday 14 September and will be working on Sacred Songs by Karl Jenkins. We also hope to host an online one day workshop, based around these pieces, on Saturday 24 October. This will be open to all, including non-members.
