Update from Sussex Chorus

Sussex Chorus – 17th February 2021

Our committee continues to progress in such a way that keeps us all safe  –  no face to face meetings  –   with Zoom meetings on Monday evenings, at our normal rehearsal time.  We have the chance to catch up on individual’s news; sometimes we have a quiz; sometimes a member will share an experience often to do with a concert; vocal exercises and talks about pieces of music and composers are given by our music director, Stephen Brown, and within the last few weeks we have begun to sing!  The idea is that by the time we are back to normal rehearsals, we shall be familiar with the music, which will form our next concert, and fit enough to sing it!  Stephen also sends online rehearsal videos to us which are really helpful.
For more information about Stephen, this is his website:
Our first concerts for this year have now been cancelled but we are preparing for our special centenary concert  –  if rather different from the concert which had originally been planned  –  hopefully to be performed in late September /early October 2021.  Please keep looking at our website for confirmation of the date.  This could be a celebration on many levels!
